Arthur Apartment

Great location, poor facilities! Positive: It is a very basic apartment in a good location near the centre of town and a supermarket, and had street parking close by. Negative: The facilities were very poor...no soap, toilet brush, mirror or towel rail in the shower room, no freezer compartment in the kitchen., and the rooms were very sparse. There wasn't any WiFi (despite this being listed) however the owner did offer to connect it for our last day....sadly we had already left!

We both enjoyed our short stay in Arthur Apartment. Positive: Location was good, not too far from the town centre, on a reasonably quiet back street. Facilities in the property were sufficient, we didn't feel anything was particularly 'missing'. Negative: Parts of the property were a bit 'worn', some kitchen cupboards could do with adjusting. Storage in bedroom was not really accessible, one door not opening due to the carpet and the other blocked by the bedside table. One of the bedside lamps power cords could not reach a power point.

It's not the ritz, but is perfect for a couple at a reasonable cost. Positive: The location was central to Hawick. Quiet neighbourhood, plenty on street parking. Ground floor apartment (I am disabled). Dog friendly, Our "one little dog" fitted in with the description in the condition of let. Negative: Nothing really, however a few brochures about places of interest would have been helpful.

Positive: Well priced apartment, parking always available on street Negative: Not very clean. Alot of cobwebs, dishes were dirty and oven very dirty still from previous people.

Positive: Very good location close to supermarket and only a few minutes walk to town centre. There was an issue with hot water that host sorted very promptly Negative: Oven gloves and proper kitchen scissors would have been nice additions also a full knife block not with 2 missing. Bedside lamps on both sides of bed were a good touch but we could only find 1 plug. Towels provided but had 2 of the 3 had definitely seen better days only one hand towel. Shower hot but not very powerful.
